On Sunday, 24 April 2022, the general meeting of the Münchner Löwen Club e. V. (MLC) was held in the Oberanger Theatre in Munich for the first time after a two-year break due to the pandemic. An importan topic on the agenda was the election of the new board members.
The long-serving board members Dieter, Raymund and Werner had already announced in advance that they would not participate for a re-election. Under their leadership, the MLC has developed into the largest fetish club in Europe with more than 600 members. The club, as an essential part of the Munich gay community, has become known far beyond the borders of Munich due to its commitment.
The meeting of members honoured the outstanding, many years lasting commitment of the three board members with a farewell and expressed their great joy and gratitude that the former board members will remain loyal to the club after their term of office and are willing to support the new board.
Curtis, Benjamin and Martin who have also been extremely committed to the association for years, were elected as new board members. All three new board members are well connected in the fetish scene beyond Munich’s borders and have already shown their commitment in the MLC as well as in other community organisations and events as (co-)organisers and providers of ideas. Together they have set themselves the goal of continuing the proud, over forty-year tradition of the MLC and to further establish the successful association not only in Munich, but also in the international fetish scene and to lead it into the future.
In addition to the board also the auditors were newly elected. While Lukas spoke out against a further term of office, we were able to convince Franz, who has over 16 years of MLC auditor experience, for a further term of office. The new auditor is Torsten. As a lawyer, he also has relevant experience as an auditor.
We thank Dieter, Raymund and Werner for their tireless work for the MLC. We congratulate the new board members and auditors on their election and wish them every success in their voluntary work for the MLC.
